Change of Physiological Responses between Nordic Pole Walking and Regular Walking

Kenneth Cooper was the inventor of jogging, running and walking exercise for fitness and health in the 1960′s. For decades, the Cooper Institute in Dallas, Texas, has been the forerunner, and one of the leading research institutes on the subject of aerobic exercise research. The Copper Institute did a study on Walking versus Nordic Pole Walking and they found the following a drastic increase in oxygen consumption and caloric expenditure when walking with Nordic poles versus walking without poles:
