I was on diabetes and blood pressure medication for years. After three months my doctor told me that my blood pressure and insulin levels were back to normal, and needed no medication. I lost about 10 pounds, feel stronger and mentally in good health. It changed my life!
I have been pole walking for about four months now, and it has significantly strengthened the muscles around my partially severed bicep tendons in my upper right arm. It has made me a better hockey player, giving me improved upper body strength and better puck control.
I suffered from high blood pressure and started Nordic Pole Walking about 3 months ago, going for three walks at 60 minutes per week. After 3 weeks my doctor told me I could reduce medication step-by-step. My blood pressure went from 150/90 mmHG, down to 128/80 mmHG and I feel great.
I absolutely love Nordic Pole Walking because it gets me outside in the fresh air. I can choose to walk with friends and chat as I get my workout, or go out alone when I need personal space. The fitness boost I experience is definitely a pure bonus! This is a sport for everyone that you can do anywhere! It’s brilliant.
Nordic Pole Walking pretty much kick started my fitness comeback. I used to be into walking a few years ago and found that it helped me stay in shape and deal with stress, but I have done very little over the last few years. With NPW, I can reach my training heart rate with a lot less effort, and no discomfort on the hip or feet. I am really stoked after only a few workouts.
My husband and I attended your Nordic Pole Walking session with CARP Nova Scotia in Halifax, and we are most impressed with the Nordixx product. Thank you to CARP for making such an excellent presentation available.
I was so impressed with the effects of the poles that I became an Instructor! Since that time, I have been pole walking 3 to 5 hours/wk, and have lost another 15 lbs plus inches. This is amazing because all I am doing now is pole walking – no other exercise.
NPW invites us to witness the miracle of the changes of each season. I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed the change of season as much as I have since NPW. With the stability of the poles I feel free to look around and take it all in. It truly is a joy.
I just had to share with you my success and enthusiasm with Nordic Pole Walking. I love it! I love being outside, exercising OUT of the gym, creating community with amazing women and the amazing leadership you provide us. I have back, hip and shoulder injuries so I simply could not do what those around me were doing. That has all changed since NPW. I can go at my own pace feel the benefits as my endurance increases.
I’m 68 and I like that I don’t have to concentrate on both my feet and my hands when I walk. I have a fear of falling and breaking a bone or getting a serious injury, but with the poles I gained confidence that they would help prevent me from falling.
I had lost 60 lbs at Weight Watchers six years before, but had started to put it back on — but once I started the walking the weight stabilized and my metabolism got a huge boost. It has become the most important part of my week.
I am 67 years old and began Pole Walking about 8 weeks ago. Within days noticed increased energy, deeper sleep and a feeling of well being. Rather than tapering off, the results have become more and more magnified. My posture is better, and my breathing has improved; my stomach muscles have tightened up. My enthusiasm for Nordic Pole Walking cannot be overstated.

I found the trick is to learn the subtle nuances to pole with the right technique which makes all the difference in the benefits gained. I quickly got over feeling self conscious and started to really have fun. I love the focused purpose it gives to my weekly walks now!
Nordic Pole Walking brought me back to life. My depression has lifted and I’ve finally found a sport I can enjoy. I’m so grateful.
I’m a diabetic and I started walking with Nordic Poles 45 min. every night after DINNER. On my eight week, I went to see my family doctor and … here comes the GOOD NEWS …… my blood sugar went from my blood sugar was 10.8 down to 6.8 mmol/L and I’ve lost 15 lbs. AND my doctor CUT DOWN my diabetes medication!
