Valerie Armada and Ron Baines
Valerie Amada was born in Tours, France and is a certified personal trainer. She has always had a passion for sports, health and nutrition, so Nordixx was a natural choice to add to her business. She uses the poles to cross train for her running. She is a decathlete and an 8 time marathoner
Ron Baines was born and raised in southern Ontario. He is the Owner and Co – Director of Dynamic Strides ; he is also a Certified Mountain Bike Instructor and a Career Pilot with Jazz Air. Always a teacher, he enjoys helping others master new skills. As a Distributor for Nordixx, his love of training works well for him.

Peggy and Jim Stewart
Jim is a certified engineering technologist (CET). He has an extensive background in marketing and sales with 30 plus years in the hardware industry. He began walking with Peggy two years ago and was so impressed with the health benefits that he is now trained as a certified NPW instructor, co teaching the fitness classes and training clinics with Peggy. By Nordic pole walking regularly, Jim experienced a significant weight loss, lowered his Blood pressure, improved stamina and experienced a significant increase in upper body strength.
Peggy has extensive experience in health and education. She has worked as a Public Health Nurse, Prenatal Instructor, Early Childhood Educator, and Human Resources Officer. She is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, a certified Older Adult Specialist with Can Fit Pro and a certified Nordic Pole Walking Master Instructor with Nordixx Canada. Peggy believes in working towards optimal health by building wellness and balance into one’s life through the use of whole foods, appropriate supplements, and lifestyle changes.
As a Nordic Pole walking instructor Peggy provides clients with a workout program that includes cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and balance training. She trains her clients on how they can address and meet their individual fitness needs and goals. As a Master Instructor, Peggy trains new Nordic Pole walking Instructors and provides educational presentations to groups in the Community.

Sue Ricketts
Sue is an insurance and investment broker. She knows the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. Sue is an active Rotarian and is a Shelter Box Ambassador for East Africa through the club. She has a strong background in accounting, and knew that Nordixx was a good investment for her time and her health. Her community involvement is one of the reasons she is a successful Distributor for Guelph.

Bill VanGorder
Bill VanGorder and his wife Esther are a nationally certified Nordic Pole Walking Instructors. Together they operate MRC Associates Inc., Nordixx distributors in the Maritimes.
Bill and Esther VanGorder have been instructing and organizing Nordic Pole Walking events for the past 5 years. They are proud to be associated with Nordixx Canada and share that organization’s aspiration to encourage Nordic Pole Walking interest from coast-to-coast.
Bill is an experienced speaker and trainer who has acted as a trainer and consultant to businesses and associations since 1968. Bill gives keynotes, presentations and workshops to 30 or more organizations each year. He is recognized for his ability to motivate audiences with new, creative ideas that will provide measurable, tangible results.
Esther is an experienced trainer, Toastmaster public speaking leader, theatrical stage manager and certified Nordic Pole Walking instructor.
From 1991 to 2007, Bill was the President and CEO of The Lung Association of Nova Scotia. He also served as Vice-President of Financial Development and Marketing for the Canadian Lung Association. Prior to that he spent 28 years with the YMCA, for the final 12 years as the Atlantic Area Director for the YMCA where he focused primarily on consulting and training of YMCAs and YM-YWCAs in the four Atlantic Provinces.
Bill one of a very few professionals in Canada who is both a Certified Association Executive (CAE) awarded by the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) Certified and a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) awarded by the international Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
Bill is an active community volunteer. He is the founder and co-coordinator of the Nova Scotia ABCs of Fraud Prevention program, Past-President of CARP Nova Scotia (A New Vision of Aging for Canada) and a member of the CARP national advisory board. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Theatre Arts Guild, an Advisory Board Member of Nova Scotia Special Olympics, President of the Serving Seniors Alliance of Nova Scotia, a former Board Member of the Canadian Centre for Philanthropy, and a Past-President of the Rotary Club of Halifax.

Ginger Quinn
Ginger Quinn is the Distributor for Halton, which includes Oakville, Milton, Burlington and Georgetown. She and her husband Doug, are in the Home Healthcare business with GEM Healthcare. For Ginger it was a natural fit with her company. She began as a Trainer and with the life changes she saw personally, she quickly became a Distributor. “Nordixx Poles aren’t a fad, for me, they are a newly found friend I can lean on for life!” Weight loss, increased mobility and a lower blood pressure were all determining factors for Ginger.

Sara is a mother, a photographer and a business woman. She began her pole walking journey thinking only of personal use for herself. Sara has ortho – arthritis in her right knee and found that using the poles helped with the pain. She joined Nordixx as a Distributor for Mississauga because she liked the philosophy. The approach to educate first fits in with her way of operating. As a society we need to change our philosophy on Healthcare. Think ‘Prevention’ first. We can take charge of our health, and enjoy a better quality of life.

Jennifer Howey
Jennifer is a physiotherapist and owner of InsideOut Physiotherapy and Wellness Group in downtown Toronto. She has many years experience in orthopedic medicine and acupuncture. Through treating high level athletes, including the Olympic Rowing and Sailing teams, Jennifer has gained extensive manual and return to sport skills which she incorporates into rehabilitating the downtown office worker, or chronic pain client. She is a certified member of the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute.
A firm believer in continuing education, Jennifer is a Clinical Lecturer within the Physical Therapy program at the University of Toronto and guest lecturer at various universities across Canada. She enjoys educating the public and has been featured on CBC, Global TV and the Globe & Mail.
Jennifer strives to determine the key factors causing ones symptoms and the most effective, individualized management. She appreciates the benefits of non aggressive, daily movement and incorporating preventative strategies to stay active as we age. It is this philosophy that fuels her passion for Nordic Pole Walking.
Jennifer is currently a Master Trainer for Nordixx Pole Walking Canada. She is also a national instructor for BSN Leukotape – K taping.
Having created a clinic environment conducive to health and healing, it is with the principles of life long learning, one to one care and professionalism that she guides her dynamic team at InsideOut.
